Some of you mocked me for my love of tiny vehicles. My warning to all of you... be glad I didn't feel the need to make a Monster Smart Car like the one in this video.
The sad thing is, I could imagine myself cruising around town in this thing. I would rule the road! As everyone else would have to pull over from laughing so hard... perhaps on second thought, my orange Aveo was the right decision.

You absolutely made the right choice, erik. I heard a car expert guy on the radio today talking about how the mileage on the smart car is actually not as good as other cars (the example he gave was a Prius) and that the safety ratings on the thing are actually a little misleading. They only rate it based on its ability to take a hit head-on from another car of the same size. The guy said that a video of the car taking a hit from the side from a larger truck left him skeptical on the car's actual safety. Apparently, though the car seemed to be largely intact after the hit, getting hit by a vehicle of only moderately larger size will send the thing flying, obviously dependent on speed. So, your car may be okay, but the people inside are probably gonna get jostled around a little bit. Just because the hamster ball doesn't break doesn't mean the hamster inside will be okay if you throw the thing across the room. Though, a monster version of the car may add a little weight to it... Still, your car's better. Also, lame video. Wouldn't a picture have been enough? :P
